The Walker County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who broke into a gas station Sunday and stole more than $3,000 worth of cigarettes.

Police said a white man driving a minivan threw a large rock through the Flintstone Food Market's front window about 3:30 a.m.

The man then loaded a 55-gallon trash can with 74 cartons of cigarettes, Sheriff Steve Wilson said. The man then jumped back in the minivan and drove north on Chattanooga Valley Road.

A motorist passed the store, spotted the man and called 911, Wilson said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Walker County Sheriff's Office at 706-638-1909.
