Special Judge David Norton sent first-degree murder charges against two Chattanooga men to the grand jury for a possible indictment Wednesday.

Norton, sitting for Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge David Bales, found enough probable cause after hearing more than two hours of testimony from three witnesses to send charges against Roderick "Poo Poo" Bates and Emmett "D Baby" Jones, both 25, to the grand jury.

Witnesses said the men rushed into the Greenwood Drive home of 37-year-old Reginald Clark on Oct. 7 and shot him to death in his kitchen.

Police believe the shooting resulted from an earlier altercation at the 807 Fire & Ice nightclub on Market Street.
