Jam set at College Hill Courts

Kingdom Harvest Church is hosting the Blessed To Be a Blessing Thanksgiving Jam from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Sheila M. Jennings Recreational Center, 1201 Poplar Ave., in the College Hill Courts community.

The community outreach event will feature free food, door prizes, contemporary Christian music and inspirational messages.

Musical guests will include international recording artist T-Ran Gilbert, singer Phyllicia McCastle, rapper Big Mike Mic and mime dancer Jamaal Reynolds.

"The purpose [is to] lift the spirit of the community and show God's love in action," said Bishop William Simpson, senior pastor/teacher of Kingdom Harvest. The church's Change of Status Ministry is sponsoring the event.

Admission is free. For more information, call Temple Gwyn at 394-4222.
