Chattanooga police made 48 arrests and issued 134 citations during a weekend saturation program designed to confront issues with citywide car break-ins, burglaries, gun crimes and other offenses.

Police spread out over "problem areas" to create a concentrated police presence, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Officers took in 10 people into custody for drug charges and seized $2,021 along with a 1997 BMW 52Bi, Weary said.
