Georgia polls close at 7 p.m.

Voters across Georgia headed to the polls today to elect new officials and decide issues such as Sunday alcohol sales and tax districts. Voters in the Northwest Georgia cities of Rossville, Fort Oglethorpe, Dalton and Trenton will decide on new mayors. Other cities from Summerville to Cohutta will also select their cities’ new council and school board members.

Polling places statewide are open until 7 p.m. EST.
