3 DeKalb County, Ala., residents charged with burglarizing neighbor

Police arrested two men and a women in DeKalb County, Ala., and accused them of twice burglarizing their neighbors’ home, once on Tuesday and once earlier this summer.

Jessica Diane Rowell, 19, Stephen Wayne Gray, 19, and Hoyt Rowell, Jr., 43, were charged with third-degree burglary, said Sheriff Jimmy Harris in a news release.

Cindy Michelle Maynor, 43, was also arrested but she was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.

All four are in DeKalb County Jail, waiting for a bond and all the stolen items were returned to the owners, authorities said.

A burglary was reported on County Road 528 in the Grove Oak area Tuesday night after residents said a chainsaw, pressure washer and other miscellaneous tools were taken, Harris said.

The victim told authorities where the suspects might live and a sheriff’s investigator went to home to question the suspects, Harris said.

When the investigator arrived, he saw some of the stolen items and, after searching the property, found assorted children’s toys that were reported stolen from the same victim back in August, Harris said.
