Georgia Winery in Ringgold, Ga., has partnered with Athens Distribution to begin distributing its wines in Tennessee.

Jesse Taymore, the third-generation manager of the family-owned winery, said the new Tennessee distribution license allowed the sale of Georgia Winery products to begin in October in retail stores and he hopes to have the wine in Tennessee restaurants by early 2012.

Founded in 1983, Georgia Winery is Georgia's first farm winery and specializes in muscadine wine, including such brands as Chattanooga Blush, Blackberry, Georgia on My Mind, and Tailgate Red.
