A man walked into a Mexican restaurant in Dalton Wednesday morning and stole a $200 cash display off the wall, police said.

The white man, described by Dalton Police spokesman Bruce Frazier as being slim and 6 feet, took a framed display with two $100 bills with inscribed notes directed to the owners of Las Palmas restaurant.

One read, "From your friend, Gus ... good luck" while the other said, "Good luck - Edward Santos," Frazier said.

The man stole money just before 11 a.m. as employees were getting ready to open the building, Frazier said. He was wearing a gray hoodie, a brown ball cap and khaki pants, police said.
