Volunteer fair at Sunday's market

Friday, January 1, 1904

United Way's Center for Nonprofits is hosting its third annual "eNgAgE" on Sunday at Chattanooga Market in First Tennessee Pavilion on Carter Street.

This volunteer fair is designed to give potential volunteers a way to learn more about available opportunities and find an agency that best fits. It is co-sponsored by United Way's Volunteer Center, Directors of Volunteers in Agencies and Chattanooga Market.

"Many of our nonprofit members have voiced their desire to find new ways to reach potential volunteers, and on the flip side, members of the community have asked how they can better connect to volunteer opportunities. Having this event meets the needs of both," said Sheila Moore, executive director of the Center for Nonprofits.

Visitors to the market can learn more about Signal Centers, Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Samaritan Center, Hospice of Chattanooga, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities-Interfaith Senior Services, Harrison Bay State Park, Men's Ministry Network, Chattanooga Zoo and Tennessee River Gorge Trust.

Also, Public Education Foundation, MCR Foundation, Choices Pregnancy Resource Center, Siskin Children's Institute, Girl Scouts, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Chattanooga CARES, MaryEllen Locher Foundation, the Pet Placement Center and United Way's Volunteer Center.
