Chattanooga area business calendar

• Red Bank council meeting at noon Tuesday at Red Bank Presbyterian Church, 4320 Dayton Blvd. Hamilton County Schools Supt. Rick Smith will speak. Lunch: $10.

• Ooltewah/Collegedale council meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Collegedale City Hall, 4910 Swinyar Drive. Jay Elliott with the law firm of Miller & Martin will speak on “Legal Aspects of Social Networking.”

• Hixson council meeting at noon Wednesday at the North River Civic Center, 1009 Executive Drive. Frank E. Cowden with Regent Properties and Duane Horton with Scenic City Land Co. will speak on “Proposed Development in Hixson.” Lunch: $10

• Enterprise Gateway Council Meeting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton Plastics, 2641 Riverport Road. Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger will talk about “Future Growth of Chattanooga.” Breakfast: $6.

• North Hamilton County Council Meeting at noon Thursday at Budweiser of Chattanooga, 200 Shearer St. Lunch: $10.

• Small Business Orientation form 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. The counselor discusses basic business planning including financial projections and legal entity. To register for the free program call 756-8668.

• Ribbon Cutting for AArrow Advertising at 2 p.m. Friday at Scenic City Signs, 5900 Shallowford Road.

• YPAC YP Awards Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. At the luncheon, YPAC will recognize five of Chattanooga’s best and brightest young professionals with its annual awards. Contact YPAC at https://ypchattanooga.org/events/.
