The Chattanooga Police Department arrested 14 gang members in a three-day operation that targeted people involved in gang-related and gang-motivated crimes, police said.
Officers made 63 arrests with 107 total charges and recovered one gun during the operation, which started last Thursday and went through the weekend, Chattanooga Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said in a news release.
Among the people arrested were Bryant Cannon, 22, who was on the list of Hamilton County’s Top 12 Most Wanted and had a probation violation from an attempted murder charge, Weary said.

Just like TWRA; catch, tag, and release.
1 gun confiscated and 14 alleged gang members arrested? Was that one gun shared between those 14 alleged gang bangers?
Chattanooga is right up there with that TN sex-trafficking gang. Stretching the truth!
Police are too inept to understand the sociology behind gangs and why, especially young minority men, are likely to join one. You can't fix what you are not capable of understanding. However, I don't think they want to fix the problem anyway. There is too much money in the way of federal, state and local funding involved in keeping the drama going. It's not like the meth problem, that's far too expensive to go after. There's no incentive there. It's also unlike the heroin problem that raging through suburbia America. You don't hear much about the tragic heroin issue. Too many of their own fellow suburbanites might be heroin addicts.
