Georgia: Dog hit by car hadn't taken LSD

Snellville police say a dog euthanized after being hit by a car did not have LSD in his system.

An incident report said dog owners Nicholas Modrich and Jamie Hughes, both 25, were believed to have given Oscar, a male dachshund mix, the hallucinogenic drug Oct. 29.

Police said Tuesday a necropsy report shows Oscar had a broken back but no drugs in his system.

Police say Modrich and Hughes said they had taken LSD and given some to Oscar, who was missing. They are charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of a drug-related object and public indecency.
