The assailants who killed Red Bank resident Jordan Collins last week leveled bone-deep blows to the right side of the his head, fracturing his skull in more than 10 places, according to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s report.

The report, released Friday, states that Collins, 27, died of blunt force injuries to the head Sept. 24. Red Bank police believe attackers beat him with a crowbar during a home invasion robbery at 3710 Redding Road.

Collins was discovered dead inside his home Saturday morning.

Authorities have charged his former roommate, 19-year-old Zachary Hughes, with criminal homicide in connection with his death.

Markel Mitchell, 16, and Jeremy Sean Reinig, 27 also are charged with criminal homicide. All three and 19-year-old Lorenzo Bell have been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.

The preliminary hearings for the four men were moved from Monday to Oct. 10.

Mitchell, Hughes and Reinig remain in Hamilton County Jail without bond. Bell has a bond set at $5,000.

Correction. It was ten fractures, not 10 blows...provided one blow caused multiple fractures. Still...seems a bit overkill and hate-powered.

How did I go from writing one sentence that in no way made the ignorant accusations your did to not caring? That seems a large leap rolando. I usually sit back and let you speak your piece but sometimes your ideas and statements are just so ridiculous I can't take it anymore and feel compelled to say something...anything. Your high horse really needs to be taken down a notch or two.

rolando, maybe you need to go sate your gal and give your brain a rest. It seems a contest between you and tnvolssuckbad as to who spends the most time thinking about homosexuals.

And when you sign into someone else's post, agreeing with it, you also sign into everything said therein.

You effectively asked if there was something wrong with my brain and I contrarily asked in return if you were incapable of thinking. I also gave you an out by asking if you were uncaring about violence...at which point you now whine.

If you can't stand re-directed heat, don't blindly agree with someone's posting.
