A Soddy-Daisy woman whose body was found on her property was killed by a horse, a Hamilton County official said today.

The Hamilton County medical examiner has determined Karen Morton, 57, was crushed and kicked by a horse.

She had been found lying prone on her barn floor on Montlake Road with extensive injuries to her head.

She had been found dead after she didn’t show up to work at Erlanger North Saturday morning.

She had been an emergency room nurse at Erlanger North for at least 20 years.
