• Bledsoe County: Holden Boynton scored two touchdowns but also had a career-best 191 rushing yards as the Warriors posted a 46-20 non-district win over York Institute.

• Bradley Central: Bryce Copeland threw three touchdown passes, completing seven of nine passes for 181 yards as the Bears posted a crucial District 5-AAA victory over Ooltewah, setting the stage for showdowns in the coming weeks against McMinn County and Cleveland.

• Brainerd: Sam Caffey passed for 176 yards and ran for another 93 but the Panthers were overwhelmed by Red Bank 42-20.

• Chattanooga Christian:

• Cleveland: Chad Voytik passed for 226 yards on 14 completions but the Blue Raiders were overwhelmed 35-20 by District 5-AAA rival McMinn County.

• Copper Basin:

• Dade County: Travis Nunley rushed for 61 yards, passed for 28 and intercepted a pass but Dade fell to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 23-22.

• Dalton: Tre Bonds got loose for 191 yards and scored three second-half TDs as the Catamounts dispatched Heritage 42-21 and improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the region.

• East Hamilton: Logan Jackson enjoyed some great blocking from the guys up front and ran for three touchdowns and 189 yards on just 15 carries as the Hurricanes remained in the District 6-AA race with a 8-6 win over Hixson.

• Gordon Lee: Ryan Chastain scored the Trojans' only TD in a 28-7 loss to Mt. Paran.

• Grace Academy: Josh Smith ran for aat lest 52 yards, returned a punt 65 yards and completed four of eight passes for 104 yards as the Golden Eagles spanked Marion County 63-14 in a non-district game.

• Grundy County: Michael Nolan gained 167 yards on just 14 carries and added three touchdowns as the Yellowjackets thumped Upperman 49-34. The win pushed Grundy to 4-3 on the year.

• Heritage: Jake Sampson completed 16 of 32 passes for 238 yards and three TDs but the Generals lost at Dalton 42-21 in their first region game of the year.

• Hixson: Justin Johnson returned an interception 90 yards for the Wildcats' lone score in a 28-6 loss to East Hamilton.

• LaFayette: Devarus Porter gained 133 yards (17 carries) and scored one of the Ramblers' TDs in a 26-14 loss to Ridgeland.

• Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: bubba Cruz rushed for 121 yards and Dylan Flowers intercepted a pass with 90 seconds left as the Warriors won 23-22 over Dade County and improved to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in the region.

• Lookout Valley: Van Scribner rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown and threw for 208 and two more scores as the Yellow Jackets improved to 5-3.

• Marion County: Eric Quales returned a kickoff 80 yards but it was way too little way too late as the Warriors fell to Grace Academy 63-14.

• McMinn County: Cedrick Nevins pulled in an 11-yard touchdown pass and returned a punt 41 yards for a second score in the Cherokees' 35-20 win over Cleveland. The victory pushed their record to 4-2 overall but more importantly 4-0 in District 5-AAA.

• Meigs County: Dakota Green scored three touchdowns, one on a 10-yard interception return, as the Tigers handed winless Cannon County a 55-0 defeat to improve their record to 4-3.

• North Jackson: Kitt Grider had a pair of TD passes and six Chiefs scored TDs in a 58-0 victory over Butler that improved their record to 7-0.

• Ooltewah: Bradley Stephens tossed three touchdown passes on a 28-of-47 night that accounted for 334 yards but the Owls dropped a District 5-AAA game to Bradley Central 41-39.

• Polk County: Al Akins rushed for 65 yards and three touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass as the Wildcats upset Signal Mountain 36-35.

• Red Bank: Niquia McDuffie scored a pair of touchdowns and passed for another, racking up 255 yards of offense in the Lions' 42-20 win over Brainerd.

• Ridgeland: Torrie Porter scored a pair of TDs, one of a 29-yard fumble return, and rushed for 120 yards as the Panthers upended Region 7-AAA rival LaFayette 26-14.

• Ringgold: Slade Dale ran for 121 yards and passed for 234, giving him a hand in three touchdowns as the Tigers survived 49-42 in two overtimes over Southeast Whitfield.

• Sequatchie County: Jerry Fain gained 226 yards, securing his second 1,000-yard season as the Indians swamped Whitwell 64-37.

• Signal Mountain: Reese Phillips ran for 53 yards and a two-point conversion and completed 19 of 26 passes for 192 yards and three TDs but the Eagles fell 36-35 to Polk County.

• Soddy-Daisy: Cedric Edwards gained 387 yards, best by an Chattanooga area back this year, and scored five TDs as the Trojans outlasted winless Walker Valley 56-48 to keep their Class 6A playoff hopes alive.

• South Pittsburg: Jajuan scored five TDs, giving him 11 for the past two weeks, and rushed for 185 yards in the Pirates' 38-7 win over Franklin County.

• Tyner: The opponents' plan was to shut down Joseph Sturkey so De'Drick Calloway took over, scoring two touchdowns on pass receptions and returning a punt 34 yards as the Rams won their third straight, 38-6 over Central.

• Walker Valley: Kelvin Wells ran for 167 yards and scored two touchdowns and the Mustangs made it interesting before falling 56-48 to Soddy-Daisy.

• Whitwell: Justni Havis threw four touchdown passes, finishing with 251 yards, but the Tigers fell to Sequatchie County 64-37.
