Chattanooga police went to 2616 Long St. about 9 p.m. Wednesday and found a man shot in the arm, according to department spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Although the circumstances of the shooting were not yet known late Wednesday, it appeared that the victim's injuries were not life-threatening, Weary said.

Police had a suspect in custody and were interviewing witnesses, Weary said.
