Poll
Who would be the best GOP candidate to run against President Obama?
Memphis-born Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain is visiting the Mid-South today, hoping his 9-9-9 tax plan will resonate with voters.
Cain, a favorite with the tea party, is speaking at W.J. Freeman Park at 2629 Bartlett Blvd. in Bartlett.
"They contacted our group and asked if we'd help set up something. And we said sure," said Jim Tomasik, a steering committee member for the Mid-South Tea Party. "Most of the time these candidates aren't even coming to Memphis. So it is a pretty big deal and we thought we'd help them out."
Cain was born in Memphis on Dec. 13, 1945. His family moved to Atlanta when he was 2.

And only 999 people really care
The only thing more frightening than Rick Perry being nominated for president is the thought of Herman Cain being considered for the job. The same Herman Cain who said to all those out of work Americans, "If you're not rich it's your own fault!"
You liberals fear Herman Cains anti marxist views.
Funny. Obama rarely/if ever visited Tn when he ran and lost the state when he ran against Hilary Clinton. Big time. The crowds that Herman Cain is getting in Tn is showing one thing and proving it: the real racists are in the Democratics Party. Herman Cain is being sought for his proposals and stance on issues. Spend all the time you want arguing. Southern Republicans support candidates based on merit. Southern Democrats use the black community to stir up fear. Facts.
What will the libtards do now? They can't play their tired ol'race card. Let's talk about Solyndra, Fast and Furious, etc. Maybe the Failure-In-Chief could put it on C-Span. Oh wait. That's right. He lied about that.
