Roach-eating contest at Six Flags Over Georgia

Poll
Would you eat one cockroach for a season pass to Six Flags?

AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) — Want a free season pass to Six Flags? All you have to do is eat cockroaches.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/poYe5f ) that Six Flags Over Georgia plans to hold a cockroach-eating contest Saturday. Participants who eat Madagascar hissing cockroaches will receive free 2012 season passes to the amusement park.

A park spokesman tells the newspaper the park has done similar contests in the past and has been assured by public health officials it's safe to eat the insects.

The contest begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Mariner's Cove Theater.
