The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority today named the airport's vice president of operations as Lovell Field's interim chief executive.
Terry Hart, 50, who has been at the airport for four years, will take over day-to-day operations at the airport on Nov. 8.
Jim Hall, vice chairman of the airport authority, said a search committee will be formed to find a permanent CEO to fill the vacancy created by the resignation last week of Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport President Mike Landguth.
Landguth, a 12-year employee at Chattanooga's airport, is taking the top job at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina next month.
