UPDATED: Missing Dalton 3-year-old found in woods

The child has been found walking in the woods.

Dalton emergency response agencies are searching the area Beechland Place area for a missing 3-year-old child, according to Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier.

The boy was reported missing shortly after 2 p.m., when he wandered off as his mother unloaded groceries.

The boy was last seen walking near the tree line of the woods behind the apartment.

Frazier said the boy is half-Hispanic, half-white, with brown hair which is very closely cropped. He was wearing a long sleeve brown shirt and blue jeans.
