High Tennessee, Georgia jobless rates

It's a terrible thing for anyone really to want and need a job and not be able to find one.

So it is deeply troubling for many of our people -- and our society as a whole -- that current unemployment is so high.

The U.S. jobless rate is 9.1 percent.

But in Tennessee, unemployment is reported to have risen to 9.8 percent in September.

And in Georgia, the jobless rate rose to 10.3 percent.

With long-term numbers such as those, is there any particular reason to believe that current big-government, big-spending policies are working?
