Warrants issued against Georgia man in connection with shooting

Arrest warrants were issued for David Guyton, 33, in connection with a shooting last week involving Guyton and a Calhoun, Ga., police officer, Calhoun Police Department Chief Garry Moss said in a news release.

The warrants against Guyton, who is from Calhoun, are for criminal attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault, Moss said.

Guyton was released from Erlanger hospital on Friday and is at the Hamilton County Jail awaiting extradition to Gordon County, Ga., Moss said.
