TRENTON, Ga. - A 19-year-old Dade County, Ga., man man was sentenced this afternoon to life in prison with the possibility of parole in the stabbing death of a Chattanooga man during a drug deal.

Dade County Superior Court Judge Brian House sentenced Johnathan Ellison to life with the possibility of parole in 30 years on his convictions of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.

Ellison was charged with stabbing 36-year-old Antwane Hyatte, of Chattanooga, when Hyatte came to Ellison's house to sell him two ounces of marijuana and Ecstasy pills on March 16.

James Oglesby, who also was at Ellison's home, faces the same charges as Ellison and will be tried next year.

Testimony showed Hyatte was stabbed 16 times and died on the front step's of Ellison's trailer. Both Ellison and 27-year-old Oglesby fled, leaving Ellison's 9-month-old daughter and 18-month-old son behind crying in the trailer.
