Clarity moves HQ in city limits
Clarity, a division of Plantronics which makes amplification and other communication equipment for seniors, is moving its headquarters to 6131 Preservation Drive in Chattanooga.
Clarity bought the 22-year-old, 10,500-square-foot building in May for $825,000. Clarity President Carsten Trads said the move will help the company build a new acoustics lab and expand engineering, marketing, sales, operations and customer service departments.
The 50-employee company has been on Bonny Oaks Drive since August 2000.
FSG hires Dell as loan overseer
First Security Group Inc. has hired a new chief lending officer and elected veteran banker Robert P. Keller to FSG’s board.
The parent company of Chattanooga’s biggest independent bank said Thursday that Joseph E. Dell has joined the bank as executive vice president and chief lending officer. Dell most recently served as chief lending officer for First Commonwealth Bank, a $6 billion-asset bank in Indiana, Pa.
Keller also serves as chairman of Security Business Bancorp in San Diego, California and First State in Cranford, N.J.
