800 customers in North Georgia without power

As of 8 a.m., approximately 800 customers remain without power across NGEMC’s seven-county service area. They asked customers to stay away from downed power lines and report them to NGEMC or local emergency officials. NGEMC also noted that as the ground is heavily saturated, trees and power lines may continue to fall and cause outages through the day. They also noted that crews will remain on duty until all power has been restored.
