29,000 homes still without power in Chattanooga area

EPB said 29,000 homes and businesses in the Chattanooga area remain without power this morning.

EPB spokeswoman Danna Bailey said there are 716 different locations with a problem causing outages as of 9:30 a.m.

"We have 71 crews working right now and have called in more to arrive around noon," she said.

EPB, the city-owned electric utility, provides power or telecommunications services for 160,000 homes and businesses.
