A man is in critical condition after falling off of a ropes course at 5051 Gann Store Road, according to Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jere Weary.

Melvin Davis, 57, went climbing Tuesday when he slipped, fell and got tangled in the ropes, Weary said.

Davis told police that he hung by his ankle for two days before he was found around 4 p.m. today, Weary said. Justin Eustis, 24, found Davis and lowered him to safety and called emergency personnel.

Davis was transported to a local hospital with apparent leg, face, arm and back injuries, Weary said.

That's absolutely amazing! You must have been in pretty good shape, Melvin. Here's hoping that you have a speedy recovery and no lasting harm done.
