University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wide receiver Joel Bradford and middle linebacker Wes Dothard earned Southern Conference player of the week honors, the league announced today, for their play in the No. 25 Mocs' 38-17 win over No. 10 Jacksonville State on Saturday.

Bradford was named the offensive player of the week for the third time in the past two seasons after tying his career high with 15 receptions, for 162 yards and a touchdown.

Dothard earned his first defensive player of the week nod for making five stops and returning a win-sealing interception 30 yards for a touchdown. He also had a forced fumble, a pass break-up and a quarterback hurry.

The SoCon freshman of the week was Western Carolina's Shaun Warren, who ran for 203 yards and four touchdowns against Mars Hill. The special teams player of the week was Furman's Chas Short, who made three field goals in the Paladins' 16-6 win over The Citadel.
