A multiple-vehicle crash on state Highway 58 on Tuesday morning sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson reported.
Cody Beavers, 20, was driving north on Highway 58 when he traveled into the southbound traffic lane, Atkinson said in a news release. Beavers sideswiped a man driving a Chevrolet van, struck a Chevrolet Silverado in the left side and then struck a Suzuki GXR motorcycle head on.
The motorcyle’s driver, Quincy Hall, 31, was injured and taken to a local hospital, Atkinson said. No one else involved in the crash were injured.
Beavers, who is from Dalton, Ga., was given traffic citations for driving left of center and for having expired registration on his vehicle, Atkinson said.
