A 23-year-old man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon, said Cleveland, Tenn., police spokeswoman Evie West.
The man was driving on Old Tasso Road in Cleveland when witnesses said he popped a wheelie, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, West said.
The man was taken to SkyRidge Medical Center and then flown by helicopter ambulance to Erlanger, West said.
Police had not released the motorcyclist’s name by Sunday night.
I see this all the time on Route 27 and other high-speed roadways, and it makes me heartsick. Unnecessary risks in the show of machismo! And it also makes me angry that motorcycle riders (and other drivers too) risk the lives of others when they pull these stunts.
I hope his insurance company is reading this.
