The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team continued its climb in the Football Championship Subdivision polls today.

Following its win at Eastern Kentucky last Saturday, the Mocs (2-1) moved up a spot to No. 13 in the Sports Network poll and went from No. 17 to 14 in the FCS coaches' poll.

This is the longest UTC has ever been ranked to start a season and the Mocs would likely vault into the top 10 with a win Saturday at No. 3 Appalachian State (2-1).

The Southern Conference announced its players of the week today and Mocs linebacker Wes Dothard was the Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. The redshirt sophomore had 10 tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss in UTC's 23-14 win at EKU.

Running back Marquis Green was named the Freshman of the Week after scoring the game-winner on a 17-yard run in the third quarter. It was his first career touchdown. Green finished with 21 carries for 68 yards but had runs of 18, 11 and 17 yards on the go-ahead drive.
