Four months after a 53-year-old man was shot to death, Chattanooga police have arrested a suspect on a charge of first-degree murder.

Antonio Dejong Espey, 18, was arrested Thursday morning at 3501 Dayton Blvd. on an indictment from the Hamilton County grand jury, according to Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary. Chattanooga police officers, Hamilton County sheriff's deputies and federal marshals cooperated to make the arrest, Weary said.

Herbert Strickland was killed on May 19 inside the Big K-Mart at 909 Dodson Ave. after a gunman wearing all black shot him multiple times. That death was the 11th of 20 homicides so far this year.
