Wednesday night’s prep stars

Savannah Nelson, Red Bank: Her strong play in the Lady Lions’ 3-1 volleyball victory over Signal Mountain included 19 kills, six blocks and four aces.

Kendall Johnson, Gordon Lee: She was 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Lady Trojans, who had a 10-run second inning on the way to defeating North Cobb Christian 14-2 in four innings in a Region 6-A softball game.

Tory Kemp, GPS: The Bruisers hosted and beat East Ridge 2-0 and lost 2-1 to Walker Valley with Kemp totaling 16 kills, five aces, 19 assists and 15 digs.

Ashley Farley, Sequatchie County: Her six aces were a team-high when the Lady Indians defeated Bledsoe County 3-1 in volleyball and she also contributed nine kills and eight digs.

Kelsey Nunley, Soddy-Daisy: She paced the Lady Trojans with 10 kills and 17 digs and also served two aces when they beat Bradley Central 3-0 in a District 5-AAA volleyball match.

• East Hamilton beat Central 3-0 in a District 6-AA volleyball match.
