An 11-year-old girl who was thrown from a car last week in a traffic accident has died, according to Chattanooga police.
The crash happened Sept. 19 at 3400 Rossville Blvd. Police said Rosalia Velasquez, 38, was driving north with her daughter and her 6-year-old son riding unrestrained in the vehicle. Police said Velasquez turned in front of an oncoming car and both children were thrown out and injured. Velasquez also was injured.
The crash is still under investigation and no decision has been made whether to file charges, police said.

Are there any laws these people abide by?
The mother should be charged with 1st degree murder for not following seat belt laws ...she snuffed the life of her child because of her stupidity. Maybe she can spend rest of her life in prison to think about what she done wrong. Any parent who dont follow seat belt laws dont deserve or love their children.
