The Tennessee Titans have honored E.K. Slaughter as their high school football coach of the week.

Slaughter's Cleveland team ended a seven-game losing streak Friday with a 41-6 victory over previously unbeaten Red Bank, which had been the state's fourth-ranked Class 4A team.

With the recognition comes a $1,000 donation in Slaughter's name to the Blue Raiders' football program from Titans owner Bud Adams.

Slaughter also will receive an invitation to the Titans' Dec. 11 game against the New Orleans Saints. On that date the Titans will announce the winner of their 2011 coach of the year award, which carries a $2,000 donation to the winner's football program.
