The Georgia state fire marshal’s office is investigating a suspicious fire in Dade County.

A fire was reported on a home off Highway 11 in Wildwood, Ga., on Friday, only hours after deputies responded to a domestic dispute at the same home, according to a Dade County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies responded to the domestic incident about 6 p.m., but resident Billy Joe McCurry had left the house, the release states.

After the fire was reported, deputies and firefighters went back to the house. Warrants were then taken out for McCurry’s arrest for terroristic threats and acts, the release states.

Authorities are currently looking for McCurry.
