Congressional candidate speaking at JFK
Dr. Mary Headrick, a Democratic candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, will speak at the JFK Club on Monday.
Headrick is a Maynardvillle physician who is competing with Democratic candidate Bill Taylor in the August primary.
The JFK Club is a local arm of the Democratic Party.
The club meets at Blue Orleans Restaurant at the corner of Market and Main streets.
The buffet is $11 and vegetarian options are available.
Agri-Plex all-call
The Friends of The Agri-Plex, a group that wants to create a dirt-floored agricultural events facility in the greater Chattanooga area, will meet Saturday for a cookout at the Hullander farm.
