A woman injured Saturday in a wreck on Hunter Road has died, authorities say.

Around 9:05 a.m. Saturday, Misty Dawn Szekely, 19, was traveling east when her car drove off the roadway and struck a tree in the 5800 block of Hunter Road, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said.

Szekely was trapped in the vehicle while emergency personnel worked for about 25 minutes trying to remove her, Atkinson said

She was flown to Erlanger hospital, where she was pronounced dead Saturday night from a head injury, Atkinson said.
