Arts & Sciences senior Jackson Lenoir will sign today to continue his tennis career at Milligan College, an NAIA member just outside Johnson City.

The 6-foot-6 Lenoir was the Class A/AA state singles runner-up last season and led the Patriots to the state semifinals for the first time in school history. He was 30-9 his last two seasons and was a state semifinalist in doubles as a sophomore.

He was a starter on two CSAS state-tournament basketball teams but did not play his senior season.

"He's got better every year and is committed to a strong work ethic," CSAS tennis coach Jerry Pate said. "Probably the thing that stands out more than anything is that he wants to get better, and you can't knock him for that sort of thing.

"He's really stepped up to be a leader, and I believe that Milligan is getting an outstanding player."
