Bradley Central senior Miles Christian recently chose to play college soccer at Bryan. Christian was a Best of Preps selection with an area-high 28 goals last season and has 14 in nine matches for the Bears this year.
Christian chose the Lions over King, Milligan, Martin Methodist and Auburn-Montgomery. He also was the kickoff specialist on the Bradley football team and a key member of the basketball team that advanced to a Class AAA sectional .
He said the hiring of former Bryan star Joey Johnson as the Lions' coach was a big factor in his decision.
"When I toured the campus, I knew that I liked it, and I felt I fit in with the guys," Christian said. "I like the fact that it's close to home, but mainly I liked Coach Johnson. He said his goal is to advance to the [NAIA] national tournament, and I want to do whatever I can to help him get there."
