Drowned teen attended Collegedale Academy

A teen who drowned Saturday at Harrison Bay State Park has been identified as Collegedale Academy sophomore Chakamboka Chama, according to the school’s website.

CA will hold a memorial on Monday at 8 a.m., and counselors will be available to students, according to information posted on the website.

Authorities said Saturday the 16-year-old was swimming with friends when he disappeared. His body was found several hours later about 100 yards from shore, said Tennessee Parks Department spokeswoman Meg Lockhart.
