Suns’ five-run inning beats Lookouts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Suns used a five-run seventh inning to rally past Chattanooga and win 7-6 in Southern League baseball Saturday night.

The outcome spoiled a spectacular offensive night by the Lookouts’ Brian Cavazos-Galvez, who was 4-for-5 with a four RBIs on two home runs and two doubles. Kyle Russell also homered for Chattanooga and went 3-for-4.

Jacksonville’s Shawn Bowman hit a bases-loaded double off Chattanooga reliever Luis Vasquez to key the Suns’ rally and waste a solid start by Lookouts starter Nathan Eovaldi. Jacksonville’s Kyle Skipworth went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.

The Lookouts are back home to begin a five-game series against Birmingham at 5:15 this evening. It’s SunTrust Sunday with donated canned foods being exchanged for free general-admission tickets.

Allen Webster (1-1, 4.82 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Chattanooga; Nester Molina (0-1, 7.27) is listed for the Barons.
