Who golfs? Ringgold's Craig Warren

Craig Warren's introduction to golf came when a family member invited him to hit plastic whiffle balls in the back yard about 15 years ago.

Warren returned to Michigan, where he lived at the time, and bought a cheap set of clubs at Kmart.

He's never taken a lesson. But he's shot even par -- one time.

"You never think that you would get that far, especially without any training or teaching," said Warren, whose first love is baseball. "I just became addicted to the Golf Channel. I found that practice and exercise are important and stretching is most important."

Warren plays most of his golf in the north Georgia area, including LaFayette Golf Course where he shot par a few years ago.

"I like to play with a good tempo and I really hate slow play," said Warren, who attended the Super Demo Day on Saturday at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. "I try to correct my bad shots as I go, and I try to enjoy the good ones, too."
