Today's Hatch events, Saturday April 21

TODAY'S SCHEDULE

10 a.m.-6 p.m.: Chatty Crafty, Ross's Landing, 100 Riverfront Parkway. Local, regional and national handmade and independent designers and vintage vendors will show off their work. Family-friendly, dog-friendly. Free.

3 p.m.: Take Art/Leave Art opening reception, AVA Gallery, 30 Frazier Ave. This is a community-based collaborative art exhibition where artists of all kinds donate work to help fill the AVA gallery. During the reception, artists will be able to take pieces with them, as long as they leave new pieces behind. Free.

6-9 p.m.: Artifact presents Caldron of Destiny featuring Gumbo Volcano, Artifact, 1080 Duncan Ave. Grand opening featuring work by Shane Darwent, Anderson Bailey, Eric Eugene Smith, Jessie Bean Goodman and Luke Padgett. Enjoy gumbo and view art and artists at work. Live music from the Can't Kids of Columbia, S.C. teamartifact.com. Free.
