A suspect in the burglaries of 11 cars in the Keith Valley Road area has been arrested, authorities said.
Michael Basham, 24, is charged with 11 counts of burglary of a vehicle, one count of theft over $500, and 10 counts of theft under $500, said Bradley County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bob Gault. Bond has been set at $25,000 and Basham is due back in court on May 1, Gault said.
The arrest came after investigations into burglaries of unsecured cars in the area of Keith Valley Road, Will Lewis Drive and Valley View Road, he said. One resident was able to provide investigators with the name of the individual.
Detectives searched Basham’s home at 1323 Keith Valley Road and found almost all of the stolen property, Gault said, including two radar detectors, a small amount of change, a camera, stereo system, and an electronic diagnostic instrument valued at $600.
Anyone in the area of Keith Valley Road that recently had items stolen from a vehicle but did not report the loss is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations division at 728-7337. Investigators may have your property.
