Chattanooga police seek man wanted in assault

Crime Stoppers is looking for Antonio Chapale Nichols, who is wanted on charges of assault, vandalism, harassment and arson.

According to a Chattanooga police news release, the charges arise out of a June incident on Davenport Street aboout which a witness stated that Nichols had thrown a female around like a "rag doll."

Nichols left before police arrived, but called the victim while officers were on the scene, the release stated. Police heard Nichols threatening the witness and victim several times.

Nichols, 34, is 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. His last known address is 405 Roberts St. in Chattanooga.

Anyone with information leading to his arrest could be eligible for a confidential cash reward up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
