The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office identified the victim of a head-on crash at 6512 Middle Valley Road on Monday night as 46-year-old Tracy O'Neal.
O'Neal died from injuries when he was struck head on while driving a 2008 Ford Focus north. John W. Massey, 27, who was driving a 1998 Ford F250, crossed the center line as he was driving south. Authorities said they do not know why Massey cross the center line.
Massey was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Deputy Robert Stockburger
