Thurman is Thursday's Nightside Pachyderm speaker

Hamilton County School Board District 1 representative Rhonda Thurman is the featured speaker at Thursday’s Nightside Pachyderm Club meeting.

The club meets at Western Sizzlin, 6021 Relocation Way, Ooltewah. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30. Food purchase is not required to attend and the meetings are open to the public.

Memberships are available for $30 per year or $10 per year for members of Pachyderm Club of Hamilton County.

The nightside group meets the first, second and fourth Monday of each month. Future programs include:

• Aug. 23: Drew Johnson, Chattanooga Free Press opinion editor

• Aug. 30: Fair tax presentation by Bill Payne

• Sept. 6: Randy Parker, Chattanooga Fire Chief
