Authorities say children playing in woods found the skeletal remains of a woman in a creek bed.

Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith told WSB Radio that the remains were found near Azalea Drive in the Lawrenceville area Sunday afternoon.

Police told The Gwinnett Daily Post that the death is being treated as suspicious.

Smith said the remains are believed to be those of a black female between the ages of 16 and 30.

A T-shirt was found on the remains for a 2008 memorial event for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The shirt says "Beloved Community March, Memphis, TN." Police are seeking information on the woman's identity.
