Man charged in slaying of state Rep. McCormick's father-in-law; police searching for second suspect

Red Bank police have charged a man in connection with the slaying of a towing company owner, the father-in-law of state Rep. Gerald McCormick.

They're also looking for a second man in connection with the slaying.

Segmund Jermaine Boyd, 39, was arrested today and faces charges of felony murder, especially aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery, according to police.

Police are searching for Adrian Ladon Gustus, 38, and have issued warrants against him for murder, especially aggravated robbery and simple assault.

Winston Gant, 65, died from injuries he sustained after he was shot once outside his front door at his home and business, Gant's Towing, 2401 Briggs Ave. on July 28.

Boyd remains in jail without bond.
